Skyros

Where to stay: I stayed at Avra's Studios. It was a last minute reservation. Skyros has a number of good hotels to choose from. There is also a big number of small houses that you can rent per night.

Where to eat: O Pappous kai ego at Skyros Town. Stamatia's at Pefkos beach.

Where to swim: Pefkos beach, the most beautiful one. Kyra Panagia nice sand beach feels like being in Cyclades island with a beach bar and sunbeds and umbrellas. Molos is huge with two nice beach bars. Juicy is the most famous. Agios Petros and Kareflou are smaller and secluded ones.

What to see: Skyros Town is beautiful and nice to walk. Skyros' small horses are also famous and make sure you ride before you go. You may find them at Restaurant Mouries and to the way to the airport.

KYTHIRA

Where to stay: I stayed at Ioannas' Rooms at Kalamos village. It was very close to Chora and Kapsali and next to the best restaurant/taverna of the whole island.

Where to eat: Filios' Restaurant at Kalamos village is the best. Michalis restaurant at Mitata village. Platanos at Mylopotamos.

Where to swim: Kaladi beach, is the most famous one. Limionas beach feels like being in Cyclades island. Kamponada, Melidoni and Chalkos beach are also very popular. Palaiopoli beach and Fyri Ammos is perfect for natural shade under the rocks. Make sure you collect rocks from these beaches.

What to see: Cave of St. Sofia. This is a must. It is small and the view is breathtaking. Mylopotamos waterfalls is also a place to go. Follow the road to the cemetery, leave the car there and then take the small path to go down the hill following the river. You will reach the final two lakes with waterfalls for swimming. Beware of the fairies...:-)
